Daria and Jo Presentation

Our presentation is about music production software. Technology is so advanced now, that you don't really need physical instruments to create music. Now we can just use Digital Audio Workstation to create whatever we want. A digital audio workstation (DAW)  is a computer program designed for editing, recording, mixing and mastering files (digital audio). You can record your various instruments and controllers, lay down the tracks, rearrange, splice, cut, paste, add effects, and finalize the song you’ve got cooking for the world to hear. Professional, semi-pro and home studios mainly use DAWs as their backbone for making music. Which makes our favorite tunes to be  just a click away. We researched and found out  about top 3 DAW:

  • Apple GarageBand-is a free music creation software exclusively for apple, which is very suitable for amature musicians. It is very easy to use.
  • AbleTone Life- is the standard multi-track recording program, with an unlimited number of audio/MIDI tracks for songs and cut/paste/splice features. What’s especially great about this software is the seamless MIDI sequencing software and hardware.
  • MixCraft Studio-a software with a lot of different sounds and loops. Very comfortable  to use,esy to understand the interface on the intuitive level.Simlar to Garage Band, but for PC.
